FAQ
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Is it scary?
Yes. This isn’t a theme park ride. The whole purpose is to scare you. We have worked long and hard to created the most horrifying experience possible. Get ready for your adrenaline fix.
What is it, anyway?
NIGHTMARE: BAD DREAMS COME TRUE is a classic walk-through haunted house. NIGHTMARE: LEGENDS is a SECOND terrifying haunted attraction. Featuring the new Halloween legend SAW V room, this is a classic haunted house from back-in-the-day, with a carnie feel and a cast of legendary horror characters: Blob, Zombie, Vampire, Witch, Frankenstein, Mummy and, of course, a maniac with a chainsaw. YOUR SUPERHAUNT TICKET GETS YOU INTO BOTH ATTRACTIONS–THAT’S TWO HAUNTED HOUSES FOR THE PRICE OF ONE!
When is it playing?
We are open from Friday, September 26 through Saturday, November 8. Click here for the performance calendar.
Will I be touched?
No one is going to grab you. All contact will be incidental and non-confrontational.
Is this appropriate for children?
NIGHTMARE: BAD DREAMS COME TRUE is oriented for adults; it is not a kid-style haunted house! Only you know how bold your children are, but no one under twelve (12) will be admitted without a parent or guardian; children under 12 are strongly cautioned. NO CHILDREN UNDER 7 WILL BE ADMITTED!
It is actually designed to scare the more fearless adult–it’s VERY SCARY. Parents know what their kids can handle, but if we feel that an adult is forcing a kid to go in against their will, we’ll intervene. Remember, there are no refunds. No children under 7 will be admitted, no matter what!
Is there a dress code?
The experience is somewhat physically challenging–there is uneven footing, it’s very dark, there are lots of twists and turns. Don’t wear high heels or skimpy sandals or gigantic platform shoes or clothes that keep you from moving freely. It’s a crowded environment and people are scared, which means they get a little sweaty, so it’s a lot better if you don’t wear your white cashmere sweater or your brand-new white jeans. Your shoes may get stepped on and your clothes might get mussed. Please wear appropriate clothing–and shoes!
Is there a long wait?
Not if you buy a line-busting VIP HAUNT ticket, which lets you skip the lines for both Nightmare: Bad Dreams Come True and Nightmare: Legends. Otherwise, tickets are sold in thirty-minute time slots. For instance, if you buy a ticket for the 7:00PM time slot, you will enter the house between 7:00PM and 7:30PM. Please arrive fifteen minutes before your scheduled entrance time. A limited number of VIP HAUNT tickets will be available at the box office. Once those are gone, no more tickets will be sold for that day.
Will I be able to leave the haunted house if it is too scary?
Yes, but there are no refunds.
I bought a ticket in advance, but can’t make it. May I get a refund or switch my ticket to a different time or different day?
Sorry. There are no refunds or exchanges.
Can my group get a special ticket price?
Yes! Groups of 20 or more, please call 888.491.7469
Is this handicapped accessible?
Sadly, it is not. There are just too many narrow passageways and unusual twists and turns to make it possible.
Are there stairs?
There are a few stairs at the entrance to the venue and a few more inside the haunted house.
Are there any other limitations that I should be aware of before I buy a ticket?
Yes. The house is not recommended for people with back or heart problems, pregnant women, those prone to seizures, anyone with an affliction exacerbated by anxiety or fear, or those with mobility problems. Further, there are enclosed spaces and minimal climbing will be necessary during part of the tour. You should also know that STROBE LIGHTS are used in the haunted house. There is fog. It’s also dark in there, just so you know. There are loud noises, too. It’s supposed to SCARE you–it’s a haunted house! Finally, management has the right to refuse entrance to persons who touch the actors, are under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or who are unruly or violent. No refunds or exchanges will be given.
Anything else I should know?
Yes. NIGHTMARE: BAD DREAMS COME TRUE is an interactive experience. You will be walking through the haunted house, there are stairs, uneven footing and varying ceiling heights in some areas, so wear sensible shoes. There is no coat check.
How many people can go on a tour together?
A maximum of twelve. No exceptions.
Can you squeeze me in? Please? I came all the way from Hartford (Westchester/Long Island/ Yonkers)! I got my girl with me. It’s her birthday. I know you said it’s sold out, but can’t you just be cool and squeeze us in? The people in the house don’t care if they do one more group. Please? No.
How long does it take to go through?
That depends on when you can’t take it anymore. Experiencing both attractions takes most people about 45 minutes.
Is there a place to buy a drink or a snack at the venue?
Yes.
Is there a coat check?
No.
Can I buy a T-shirt or other merchandise?
Yes! We have T-shirts and lots of other Nightmare stuff, but bring CASH. The kiosk doesn’t take credit or debit cards.
Can I use my credit card at the box office?
Yes.
I bought and printed my ticket in advance. Do I need to visit the box office?
No! As soon as your entire party is ready to enter the Haunted House, you can get right in line!
I bought my ticket in advance, but didn’t print it. What now?

I lost my: scarf, jacket, sweater, cell phone, notebook, wallet, purse, necklace, bracelet, glasses. Can I go back in and find it?
Sorry, we CANNOT look for lost items when the house is running. If you lose something while you’re in the haunted house, report it to the box office right away.
